Kauffman Stadium has undergone extensive renovations over the past decade. The first was done so the stadium could host the 2012 All-Star Game. Since then, they have continued to adapt the stadium to keep up with others as much as possible. Here are a few attractions that have been added to “The K” since 2011.
The Outfield Experience
This is a family-friendly area, so anyone attending a game with kiddos should make time to visit this area. There are a few concession stands here with smaller menu options for children. Included in The Outfield Experience is:
- The Price Chopper Little K: A kids-sized baseball diamond where the children can run the bases
- Sluggerrr’s Mini Golf at The K
- The Pitching Mound and Batting Challenge
- A Carousel
This section of the park is also home to the Royals’ Hall of Fame. There are lots of souvenir shops in the area.
Price Chopper Patio and Pepsi Party Porch
Both of these are located right inside the Gate E entrance. These are great areas for fans that want an experience more tailored to adults. These are both general admission seating areas. The Pepsi Party Porch is standing room only and is located directly in front of the famed Kauffman Fountains. This is a fantastic spot to watch the game on a hot KC summer day.
The Price Chopper Patio is in front of The Blue Moon Taproom. This outdoor seating area offers fans a spot to have drinks and snacks brought to them while watching the game from above right field.
