This is one of the gates used for general admission. Kauffman Stadium Gate A is the closest gate to the Royals’ Hall of Fame Experience. It’s also the closest to The Outfield Experience, the family-friendly, children’s area. Lot J is the closest Royals parking lot to Gate A Kauffman Stadium.

Kauffman Stadium Gate B Location

Kauffman Stadium Gate B is the most frequently used gate, so it tends to be busier than others. This is because it’s easy to spot from most of the parking locations. It’s also one of two gates that faces Arrowhead Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs play. Royals parking lots J, H, and M are all near Gate B Kauffman Stadium.

Kauffman Stadium Gate C Location

Royals Parking Lot M, the lot directly between Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium, is adjacent to Gate C Kauffman Stadium.

Kauffman Stadium Gate D Location

Kauffman Stadium Gate D is just east of home plate and Gate C. This is the first base side of the stadium. Both Royals parking Lot A and Lot M funnel into Gate D Kauffman Stadium.

Kauffman Stadium Gate E is used for general admission entry. Gate E is closest to the Pepsi Party Porch, Price Chopper Patio, and the Blue Moon Taproom. For fans entering Kauffman Stadium through Gate E, use Royals parking Lot A for parking.

What Time Do Kauffman Stadium Gates Open?

Kauffman Stadium gates open 1.5 hours before the first pitch for games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Fans with tickets for any of the seating areas that are able to enter through Gate C can enter as early as 2 hours before the game starts.

On weeknight games, the gates open just 1 hour before the first pitch. Again, fans with tickets for seating in Gate C areas can enter 2 hours early.

Kauffman Stadium Gate 2 Parking Entrance

Kauffman Stadium Gate 2 is located east of Kauffman Stadium on Stadium Entrance D Drive. This Gate is located off of Blue Ridge Cutoff. The entrance to Kauffman Stadium Gate 2 is located across from a Phillips 66 Gas Station. This is what it looks like as you pull up near the Gate 2 Kauffman Stadium parking entrance.

Kauffman Stadium Gate 3 Parking Entrance

Kauffman Stadium Gate 3 is located southeast of Kauffman Stadium on Royal Way. This Gate is off of Blue Ridge Cutoff. If you are approaching Gate 3 coming from I-70, the Royal Way turn for Gate 3 will be at the top of a small hill. You will see signs indicating Kauffman Stadium Gate 3 is coming. Here is a look at the view as you near Gate 3 headed south on Blue Ridge Cutoff.

Kauffman Stadium Gate 4 Parking Entrance

Kauffman Stadium Gate 5 Parking Entrance

Kauffman Stadium Gate 5 parking entrance is located west of Kauffman Stadium on Lancer Lane. It can be accessed from I-435 or Raytown Road. This is a popular Gate for many fans coming from the Kansas side.

Here is a view of the entrance to Kauffman Stadium gate 5 from Raytown Road (you can see I-435 in the background). If you are coming in from I-435 North, you will be taking the “Sports Complex Raytown Road” exit – this is what you will be looking at (Google Street View).

An easy mistake to make from I-435N is to take the “Sports Complex Stadium Drive” exit instead of the “Sports Complex Raytown Road” exit. If you take the Stadium Drive exit, that will not lead you to Gate 5 (it leads to Gate 6 and 7). Here is a Google Street View image of the 2 exits side-by-side so that you can prepare yourself.

If you are coming in from I-435 North, you will be taking the “Sports Complex Stadium Drive” exit. As I mentioned earlier, this exit can be easily confused with “Sports Complex Raytown Road”, which is another exit off of I-435 North. Kauffman Stadium General Admission Parking Information

Kauffman Stadium General admission parking is in Lots A and J. Both are located on each side of the stadium. However, on extra-busy game days, general admission parking overflows into Lots C, D, G and F.

These are actually shared lots between Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium.

Kauffman Stadium Reserved Parking Location

Kauffman Stadium Reserved Parking is in parts of Kauffman Stadium Lot A and Lot J, and Lots H and B. These lots are reserved for those with special parking passes purchased ahead of time.

Premium Parking Kauffman Stadium Location

Premium parking Kauffman Stadium is located in Lot M. This is the parking lot closest to Kauffman Stadium and is also the closest parking lot to Arrowhead Stadium.

This premium parking, or “Platinum Parking” as it’s known, is Kauffman Stadium Lot M. Only those with season tickets for Crown Club, Diamond Club, and Triple Crown seats are given the option to purchase parking passes for this lot.

Where to Park at Kauffman Stadium

Your best options for parking at Kauffman Stadium are Royals Parking Lots A and J. Both are within the shortest walking distance to the general admission entrances. They are also the easiest to access off I-70.

There are no parking garages at Kauffman Stadium. Unlike other stadiums that are located within the city limits of their team, Kauffman Stadium is actually on the outskirts of Kansas City. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Kansas City from Kauffman Stadium.
