Ford Field has eight entrance gates for fans to use, with three of those also having separate entrances for VIP, Club Members, and Suite Ticket Holders. There is also a Footbridge for those guests using Ford Field Gate G. In this article, let’s discuss the location of Ford Field gates, and when those gates open.

When do Ford Field Gates Open?

Ford Field Gates open two hours prior to kickoff. Keep in mind that some lines take awhile to get in, so getting there early is always a good plan so you don’t miss any part of the game. Also, Ford Field recommends, if possible, to use any other gate than Gate A, as it usually has the longest lines. All guests are subject to security inspection prior to admittance into the stadium. Re-entry is prohibited.

Ford Field Main Gates & Entrances

Ford Field Gate A Entrance Location

Ford Field Gate A entrance is located on the southwest side of the stadium. The Ford Field Gate A entrance is located just off Brush Street near the intersection with East Adams Avenue. Ford Field Gate A entrance is located just north of the Ford Field Gem Garage. Ford Field Gate A is one of the eight general admission entrances. Ford Field Gate A also has a separate Club and Suite Entrance.

When you enter Ford Field Gate A, you are entering the same side of the stadium of the Lions sideline. As you approach Ford Field Gate A, you will see a clearing with a large Marquee. At the top of the building, there is a large “Ford Field” sign.

Ford Field Gate B Entrance Location

Ford Field Gate B entrance is located on the northwest side of the stadium. The Ford Field Gate B entrance is located just off Brush Street near the intersection with Montcalm Street. Ford Field Gate B entrance is located just east of Comerica Park center field. Ford Field Gate B is one of the eight general admission entrances. It is just around the corner from Ford Field Gate C on the lower side.

When you enter Ford Field Gate B, you are entering the same side of the stadium of the visitors sideline. As you approach Ford Field Gate B, you will see Comerica Park as well as a clearing just outside the gate entrance. There is also a small pillar that has a “Gate B” sign on it.

Ford Field Gate C Entrance Location

Ford Field Gate C entrance is located on the northwest side of the stadium. The Ford Field Gate C entrance is located just off East Montcalm Street near the intersection with Brush Street. Ford Field Gate C entrance is located just east of Comerica Park center field. Ford Field Gate C is one of the eight general admission entrances.

When you enter Ford Field Gate C, you are entering the same side of the stadium of the visitors sideline. As you approach Ford Field Gate C, you will see three pillars with signs on them. One will be directing you to Ford Field Parking Lot 4, another one will be for Ford Field Gate B which is around the corner, and the 3rd one will be directing you to Ford Field Gate C.

Ford Field Gate D Entrance Location

Ford Field Gate D entrance is located on the north side of the stadium. The Ford Field Gate D entrance is located just south of Ford Field Lot 4 Parking. Ford Field Gate D also has a separate Club and Suite Entrance, but is only for those with Club or Suite tickets. Ford Field Gate D is one of the eight general admission entrances.

When you enter Ford Field Gate D Entrance you are entering the same side of the stadium of the visitors sideline. As you approach Ford Field Gate D Entrance you will see the large cement deck underneath a large section of the building made from glass. You will also see the “Ford” Logo on the building.

Ford Field Gate E Entrance Location

Ford Field Gate E entrance is located on the northeast side of the stadium. The Ford Field Gate E entrance is located just off St Antoine Street. Ford Field Gate E entrance is located just north of Ford Field Lot 6 Parking. Ford Field Gate E is one of the eight general admission entrances.

As you approach Ford Field Gate E, you will see a walkway that has a chain link fence around it. There are also several large trees lining the entrance.

Ford Field Gate F Entrance Location

Ford Field Gate F entrance is located on the east side of the stadium. The Ford Field Gate F entrance is located just off St Antoine Street. Ford Field Gate F entrance is located just north of the Ford Field Parking Garage. Ford Field Gate F is one of the eight general admission entrances.

As you approach Ford Field Gate F, you will see several lampposts that have “Gate F” signs on them. Ford Field Gate F is located right along the building without much around it.

Ford Field Gate G Entrance Location

Ford Field Gate G entrance is located on the southeast side of the stadium. The Ford Field Gate G entrance is located just south of the Ford Field Gate G Footbridge and Ford Field Parking Deck. Ford Field Gate G entrance is a separate entrance than the Ford Field Gate G Club and Suite entrance. Ford Field Gate G is one of the eight general admission entrances.

Ford Field Gate G Footbridge Entrance Location

Ford Field Gate G Footbridge entrance is located on the southeast side of the stadium. The Ford Field Gate G Footbridge entrance is located in the Ford Field Parking Deck. Ford Field Gate G Footbridge entrance is a separate entrance than the Main Ford Field Gate G entrance. Ford Field Gate G is one of the eight general admission entrances.

The Ford Field Gate A Club and Suite entrance is located between the Ford Field Gate A entrance and the Ford Field Ticket Office. Ford Field Gate A Club and Suite entrance is part of Ford Field Gate A, but it has a separate entrance than the Main Ford Field Gate A entrance. Ford Field Gate A Club and Suite Entrance is one of the three suite and VIP entrances.

Ford Field Gate D Club and Suite entrance is part of Ford Field Gate D, but it has a separate entrance than the Main Ford Field Gate D entrance. Ford Field Media Gate Entrance Location

The Ford Field Media entrance is located on the southeast side of the stadium as is part of Ford Field Gate G Club and Suite Entrance. You will have to be a member of the media with proper credentials. This is just south of Ford Field Parking Deck.
