Nike NFL Atmosphere Jerseys have a loose-fit design that fits looser and longer than a t-shirt. Out of all the Nike NFL jerseys, this is the loosest. Many people prefer this loose design because it makes it easier to layer underneath the jersey when needed.

The Nike Atmosphere jersey is very popular because it gives fans an affordable jersey that stands out a bit from the rest of the crowd. Here are the main features and differences that the Nike Atmosphere jersey has in comparison to the more expensive jerseys:
- Screen-printed name, numbers, and logos instead of stitched graphics.
- Longer, loose sleeves, that will hit near your elbow.
- Looser fit through stomach and chest than the Nike Elite sizing and Nike Limited sizing.
- Fabric that lacks the stretch material blend or Dri-Fit technology of the more expensive jerseys.
- Standard sizing (small, medium, large etc) instead of number-based sizing used in Elite jerseys
How do NFL Atmosphere Jerseys Fit?
The Nike Atmosphere jersey has a loose fit design. If you prefer the jersey to fit more like a t-shirt, you will need to size down. Here I am wearing my size medium (I am 6’2″ 190 pounds):
As you can see, it has a loose fit design that has plenty of length. This loose-fit design makes it very easy to layer underneath this jersey for cold weather.
Nike Atmosphere Jersey Sizing Compared to a T-Shirt
The photo below compares a size medium Nike Atmosphere jersey to a size medium (unshrunk) Hanes t-shirt. This Nike Atmosphere jersey also fits longer than most of the other options.

NFL Atmosphere Jersey Sizing Alternatives
If you prefer a tighter fit, both the Nike Elite and Nike Limited jerseys fit tighter than the Nike Atmosphere jersey. The Nike Elite jersey is the authentic jersey and has a slim-fit design to mimic the fit of the jerseys the players wear (Elite vs Game Jersey). The Nike Limited jersey has a more regular fit (Limited vs Game Jersey).
