Nike Game vs NFL Pro Line Jersey Reviews (How They Compare)

This is a Nike Game vs Pro Line jersey comparison review. These are two of the most affordable NFL fan jerseys on the market. If you are interested in buying an NFL fan jersey, here’s what you need to know (affiliate links take you to NFLShop.com):

  • Nike Legend – The Nike Legend is unique compared to other NFL jerseys. It fits almost like a standard t-shirt, and is more affordable than other jerseys. I was a bit shocked how much I liked the fit. True to size. Lightweight, and easy to wear. Click here to view the Nike Legend jerseys at NFLShop.com. NFLShop.com is the official online shop of the NFL.
  • Nike Game – The Nike Game jerseys are popular fan jerseys due to price point. They have the true look of a jersey, but are replicas, which means they are a bit more affordable than premium jerseys. Relaxed fit, but true to size. These jerseys are a good option if you are looking for a Nike jersey on a tight budget. Click here to view the Nike Game jerseys at NFLShop.com.
  • Nike Limited – The Nike Limited Vapor jerseys are my favorite jersey. Vapor style has clean front with seams converging in back. Sits flat against body. This jersey has stitched numbers and graphics. Awesome jersey, with a great fit and some premium finishes. More affordable than the Elite authentic jerseys. True to size. • Nike Elite – These are the authentic NFL jerseys, and the closest you can get as a fan to wearing what the players wear on the field. The fit will be slimmer than other jerseys, mimicking the athletic fit of the players’ jerseys. The Elite jerseys have all the premium finishes, including stitched graphics and authentic paneling. • NFL Pro Line Jersey – The NFL Pro Line Jersey is not made by Nike. It is a more affordable replica jersey, which might be a nice option if you are on a tight budget. This jersey has a baggy, loose fit, and you may need to size it down. Click here to view Pro Line jerseys at NFLShop.com.

Before we start the review, if you are looking for quick jersey advice, I own and review all the NFL jersey types. This is the jersey from NFLShop.com that I recommend as best fan jersey (Nike Limited Vapor) – in my opinion it has the best combination of fit, comfort, style and price (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com).

If you are in the market for a new NFL jersey, you might come across both the Nike Game and the NFL Pro Line jerseys due to their similar price points. But even though they have a similar price point, when you compare the Nike Game vs Pro Line jerseys, you find that there are definitely differences in size, fit, and construction.

(You can access my NFL Pro Line Review and my Nike Game Review by clicking on either link.)

I own both types of jerseys, and we will discuss their differences in this article. If you are interested in how other types of NFL jerseys fit, you can visit our NFL Jersey Sizing Guide. Nike Game vs NFL Pro Line Jersey

In this comparison article we will compare the Nike Game vs Pro Line jersey on these categories:

  • Size and Fit
  • Price
  • Quality

Size and Fit

For many people, the size and overall fit of the jersey is the most important buying factor. Here’s what you need to know right from the start: both of these jerseys are baggy.

  • The Nike Game is what I would consider a true-to-size jersey that just fits loose and relaxed (meaning that sizing down is likely not necessary, but expect a relaxed fit).

(6’3″ 200 pound size medium)

  • The NFL Pro Line jersey is so big that I personally recommend sizing down unless you just prefer an extremely baggy fit. It is very loose:

For size comparison, here I am wearing a medium t-shirt:

The NFL Pro Line jersey is extremely baggy through the chest and sleeves. If you have read any of my jersey comparison or review articles, you will know that one thing I am very critical of at times is how large the sleeves are on some NFL fan jerseys.

The NFL Pro Line has the biggest and baggiest sleeves of any NFL fan jersey. So again, unless you just prefer a very baggy fit, you will need to at least consider sizing down the NFL Pro Line.

The Nike Game is, in my opinion, a relaxed-fit jersey, but in general I don’t recommend sizing it down because it is not obnoxiously oversized – it’s just simply a looser fitting jersey.

Many people prefer a relaxed fit on their fan jersey for multiple reasons, one of which is the fact that they can then layer underneath for cold-weather games. The Nike Game provides a relaxed fit and is probably very close to the exact sizing and fit you are looking for if you are wanting a loose fit.

How that differs from the NFL Pro Line is this: even if you like a relaxed fit, I still fear the Pro Line jersey may be a bit too baggy for you at your normal sizing. Of course, it’s impossible to know your exact size and preferences, but the Pro Line jersey is very baggy, so prepare accordingly.

If you are looking for a more regular fit, neither of these jerseys will provide that. If you size down the Nike Game the fit may be somewhat close to what you are looking for, but I personally would not recommend that.

Instead, I would just check out the Limited Vapor jersey, which is my personal favorite. It has a regular true to size fit. You can check out the Nike Limited Vapors on NFLShop.com by clicking on this link (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com).

Let’s look at some pictures to compare how the Nike Game jersey and the NFL Pro Line jersey that I own fit on me. Please note: I am 6’3″ tall and weigh 200 pounds and both of these jerseys are size mediums.

NFL Pro Line

As you can see, the NFL Pro Line jersey very big. Again, I am 6’3″ tall and weigh 200 pounds and that is a size medium. The sleeves hit at my elbow and the jersey length falls well below my waistline. In my opinion, this medium fits like I expect an XL or even XXL shirt to fit, so sizing down at least one size is my recommendation.

Nike Game

The Nike Game jersey fit, although relaxed, is much more reasonable than the NFL Pro Line jersey which just runs way too big for size. This Nike Game jersey pictured is a size medium.

As you can see above, visually these two jerseys are similar in logo placement, but the overall size (both size mediums) is quite different. The Pro Line jersey (on the right) is much wider through the waist and has much bigger and baggier sleeves.

Another look above at the size difference of these two medium jerseys. The Nike Game is on top in this photo. The Pro Line jersey is wider in the waist and chest, and has longer and looser sleeves and shoulders.

As you can see above, with the Nike Game jersey you will have the Nike Logo on the sleeve. The NFL Pro Line jersey is NOT a Nike brand jersey and will not have the Nike logo.

This picture above is a close up look at the material compared side by side. Both jerseys are made with 100% polyester, but the material construction is different (Nike Game on left).

Both jerseys have screen-printed numbers, letters, and logos. The name plate is sewn-on with both types of jerseys, but the letters on the name plate are screen-printed.

Price

When I bought my jerseys, the price point on the Nike Game vs Pro Line jersey was quite similar, but there is a small difference. In general, these are two of the most budget-friendly jerseys on the market today.

Quality

Overall, the quality of these two jerseys is very similar (hence the similar price point). Both jerseys lack the premium finishes of some of the high-prices jerseys (like sewn-on names and numbers, flywire collars, stretch panel fabric, fitted sleeves etc).

Neither the Nike Game jersey nor the NFL Pro Line jerseys are authentic jerseys. That said, these are both MORE than reasonable if you are simply looking for a way to rep your favorite player or team.

Both of these jersey have the NFL Shield at the front collar, a sewn-on name plate with screen-printed letters, and are machine washable.

Nike Game vs Pro Line: My Choice

WINNER: Nike Game

The Nike Game is the clear winner, in my opinion, for better fan jersey over the NFL Pro Line for two important reasons:

  • The Nike Brand – When given the choice to own the Nike brand over the Pro Line brand at a similar price point, I am choosing the Nike brand all day.
  • Size – The sizing on the Pro Line jersey is just too big. The shoulders and sleeves feel like they’re cut 2 sizes too large and, in my opinion, force you to size down at least one size. The Nike Game fit, although loose, is a much better fit overall.
