Where to Park at Levi’s Stadium

How Does Parking Work at Levi’s Stadium?

Levi’s Stadium has a color and number system that organizes all of the stadium controlled lots. For each lot there will be a color and a number (or a premium designation). You will have to get a parking ticket or pass to enter into a lot. While buying a prepaid parking pass is strongly recommended, there is some parking available on game day on a first com first served basis.

While there are close to 20 different parking lots at Levi Stadium, not all of these allow tailgating. There are also some that restrict the type of flame you have, such as open or closed flames for grills or fire pits. Keep in mind that Levi’s Stadium or the San Francisco 49ers have the right to change polices at any given time.

When you get to your parking lot, there will be stadium staff to direct you where to park. You can’t reserve a space beside you for a friend or family. So if you want to park by someone, you will need to arrive together. On top of that, you probably should arrive early so there isn’t much traffic to deal with.

Levi’s Stadium Parking Tips

  • Buy Prepaid Parking if Possible – Buying a parking pass in advance can help you avoid the hassle of buying at the stadium, and allows you to reserve a spot in a parking lot that makes the most sense for you. With limited spaces that will be shared with public parking, buying ahead of time is smart This is where you can view the current price of parking passes available for Levi’s Stadium at Vivid Seats (paid affiliate link takes you to VividSeats.com).
  • Live Traffic monitoring – Traffic in Santa Clara (where the San Francisco 49ers Levi’s Stadium is located) can get very heavy around game time. We recommend planning your route to and from the game ahead of time, but its always a good idea to check out the live traffic cameras to avoid heavier traffic, if possible.
  • Get there early – Gates open 3.5 hours before the game starts, so its best to get there early and park before the traffic gets heavy. If you wait until closer to the game starts, especially on games during the week, there is a decent chance you could miss part of the game.
