Where to Park at Lumen Field

How Does Parking Work at Lumen Field?

There is very limited parking at Lumen Field, with only one parking garage and one parking lot. Both of these are reserved for season parking pass holders only. With that said, parking passes can be found on secondary markets, but in general, there is no single game parking available at Lumen Field.

So while you can’t park at Lumen Field, there are some options within a mile at privately owned parking garages and lots. Tailgating is also not allowed at Lumen Field, but there is one lot (Lumen Field S Lot) within a mile of the stadium that allows tailgating. These lots and garages do have their own rules, so you will want to follow those when you park off-site.

Lumen Field Parking Tips

  • Buy Prepaid Parking if Possible – Buying a parking pass in advance can help you avoid the hassle of buying at the stadium, and allows you to reserve a spot in a parking lot that makes the most sense for you. • Rideshare – Since the stadium is in downtown Seattle, parking at the stadium is very limited. Getting a ride share from your location is very effective and convenient. While you will pay of the ride, many times it is less expensive than parking your vehicle somewhere. With that in mind, you can always park somewhere close to the stadium and rideshare from there as well.

Lumen Field Parking FAQs

Where is the Lumen Field Uber Pickup and Rideshare Area?

The Lumen Field Rideshare passenger drop-off zone is located off the intersection of Railroad Way S. at Occidental Ave. (across from the Lumen Field Pro Shop), which can be accessed from 1st Ave. S. Drivers may drop off passengers next to the stadium prior to parking until kickoff. Similar access will be provided after every major event.

Keep in mind that on gameday, there can be street closures that will impact travel time. Also, keep in mind that rideshare business can pick up on game days, so planning ahead or getting to the game early when using a rideshare app is recommended. Typically, during heavier rideshare times, the rates will be higher as well. So again, the earlier you get to the stadium the better.

When do Lumen Field Parking Lots Open?

While times can change, usually the Lumen Field Parking Lots and Garages open 3 hours prior to kickoff. They will also typically close 1 hour after the game is completed, so don’t plan on keeping your car parked there for very long after the game. Keep in mint that for a variety of reasons, the Seattle Seahawks and Lumen Field staff can change these times at anytime. It is always a good idea to get to the stadium in advance, as the closer it gets to game times the more congested traffic will get.

Does Lumen Field allow Tailgating?

No, Lumen Field does not allow on site tailgating. As mentioned, Lumen Field only has 2 on site parking locations, Lumen Field Parking Garage and Lumen Field North Lot. Neither of these allow tailgating. There are some lots off-site that allow tailgating that are within a mile or so of the stadium.

So while Lumen Field doesn’t allow tailgating, some privately owned off site lots do. Keep in mind, that not all off-site lots allow tailgating. These are privately owned, so it is always a good idea to check with the lot management company ahead of time to see if you can tailgate there.
