Sportsfanfocus.com has no affiliation with Fenway Park, the Boston Red Sox, or MLB (info)

If you are planning to attend a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park and don’t yet have tickets, you might be wondering about your options. Where can you buy Red Sox tickets?

*Ticket Advice* – You can buy Boston Red Sox tickets directly from the team, or through an online ticket provider such as Vivid Seats or Stubhub. You can visit the ticket booths at the stadium, but I prefer to buy tickets online to avoid hassle and the possibility of a sellout. I like to use Vivid Seats because they show me what my view from the seats will look like prior to purchase. Click here to view Red Sox tickets available at Vivid Seats (paid affiliate link takes you to VividSeats.com).

If you choose to buy at the stadium on gameday, you will need to go to the Gate E ticket booth on Lansdowne Street, which is located on the northwest corner of the stadium. For non-gameday needs, the main ticket office is located at 4 Jersey Street (source).

Although there may be other methods to buy Boston Red Sox tickets, the most popular options are:

  • Buy Directly from the Red Sox
  • Buy From Vivid Seats
  • Buy From Stubhub
  • Buy From TicketMaster
  • Buy From SeatGeek

As we discussed above, many fans prefer to buy tickets at the stadium, but if you want to reduce hassle and avoid waiting in ticket lines, buying online before you go is a good idea. There are several places online where you can purchase MLB tickets, including Vivid Seats, StubHub, TicketMaster (among others).

In my opinion, Vivid Seats is very easy to use. Here is a look at some screenshots from my phone as I search for Red Sox tickets at Vivid Seats:

In this article let’s take a closer look at all of these options so you have a better idea where to buy Boston Red Sox tickets. Let’s also discuss options you have if you are searching for cheap Red Sox tickets.

Where Can You Buy Boston Red Sox Tickets?

Buy Tickets from the Team

Boston Red Sox tickets are available to purchase at the stadium ticket office, or from the team website by clicking here. If you are interested in buying season tickets for the Boston Red Sox, you can view that information by clicking here.

Buying tickets through the Red Sox is not hard, and they offer a variety of plans to consider. If you hope to buy tickets on gameday from the ticket office at Fenway Park, just be aware that tickets may be sold out and/or lines could be long. To read more, visit our article about purchasing tickets at Fenway Park.

  • Main Ticket Office: For all general ticket needs, the main Red Sox Ticket Office is located at 4 Jersey Street (view), and is open two hours prior to game time until two hours after. If you need to visit the ticket office on non-gamedays, it is best to contact them ahead of time to verify if they are open.
  • Game Day Tickets: For tickets on game days, you will need to go to Gate E on Lansdowne St (view). If you find the intersection of Brookline and Lansdowne (view), Gate E is just a short walk east down Lansdowne Street. This ticket booth opens 90 minutes prior to game time, but fans are allowed to assemble up to 5 hours prior to game time (source).
  • Will Call Location: Will call tickets are available beginning 90 minutes prior to games at Gates A, B, C, D, or E or by using the kiosks in the Ticket Office Lobby or at Gate D. You will be required to show a valid photo id when picking-up your tickets from will call. There is a will call window right next to the Gate E ticket booth (view).

Red Sox Tickets Vivid Seats

As I mentioned earlier, many fans prefer to buy Red Sox tickets online to avoid the hassle of buying at the stadium. I like to use Vivid Seats to buy my MLB tickets.

The Vivid Seats platform is easy to use and they show you what your view from the seat will be prior to purchase. And you can shop around to find the seat and price point that fits your budget.

This is where you can view Red Sox tickets available at Vivid Seats (paid affiliate link takes you to VividSeats.com).

Vivid Seats has a 100% Buyer Guarantee program that is designed to give you peace of mind when you are buying tickets online. Here is all that comes with Vivid Seat’s 100% Buyers Guarantee program:

  • Hassle Free Customer Service
  • Private and Secure transaction (no selling or sharing your information to brokers)
  • Tickets Delivered before the Event Guaranteed or Money Back
  • Valid and Authentic Tickets or money back
  • Accurate Order Guarantee (your tickets will be identical, comparable, or better than your order or money back)
  • Money Back Guarantee for Cancelled Events

Not only do they make sure you are satisfied and your transactions are secure, but they also have a very user-friendly platform. When you go to purchase tickets, they show you exactly where the seats are on the stadium map. They also give you a view from those seats.

It is very easy to find the game, browse through the tickets, and load the tickets into the cart for purchase. For MLB tickets, including Boston Red Sox tickets, Vivid Seats is my favorite option.

Red Sox Tickets Stubhub, Ticketmaster, and SeatGeek

If you prefer to buy your Red Sox tickets online, StubHub and Ticketmaster are two other popular options. Just like Vivid Seats above, these sites allows you to buy both Red Sox tickets and Red Sox parking passes.

These sites work hard to ensure that your tickets are valid and that you are protected. For example, StubHub has what they call “FanProtect”, which is StubHub’s promise that every order is 100% guaranteed (source). Their promise says that you “get valid tickets to any event or your money back.” StubHub commits to finding replacement tickets if there is an issue with your order.

SeatGeek is unique because it is a ticket search engine that searches through the largest tickets sites on the internet to give you an idea of what seats are available across all of those sites. This makes it much easier than you going to each site individually to compare prices.

How Much are Red Sox Season Tickets?

The cost of Red Sox season tickets varies dramatically depending on the location and amount of seats you are interested in. My advice is to visit the Red Sox season tickets page by clicking here.

Once there, you can reach out for a representative to contact you to give you a better idea how much Boston Red Sox season tickets cost, and what your options are. The Red Sox also offer a variety of ticket plans which allow you to buy a collection of game tickets without having to buy tickets for the entire season.

Red Sox Parking Options

Parking for a game at Fenway Park can be challenging given how it is a community ballpark. In general, Fenway Park advises you to park in garages on the same side of the stadium you are coming from.

Parking near Fenway Park is convenient, but these garages are smaller and they may be full. The larger garages such as Clarendon Street Garage, Ipswich Street Garage, and the Prudential Center Garage are great options, but they are further from Fenway Park. These garages do partner with the Red Sox and you can reserve parking.

For evening and weekend games, if you don’t mind a longer walk to the stadium, head nearby towards Boston University. Here, you can find free street parking along Bay State Road after 5pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and all day on Sundays.

Are Boston Red Sox Tickets Hard to Get?

The Red Sox are one of the most popular MLB teams and will sellout many games throughout the season. Games against premium opponents often sell out, along with many weekend games.

If you are wondering about availability, my recommendation is to contact the Red Sox’ ticket office and let them advise you on current availability and how to proceed. But it’s important to understand, that even if the game is sold out, you still have an option to buy from an online ticket broker like Vivid Seats.

As I mentioned above, I like to use Vivid Seats because they show me the perspective from the actual seat so I get an idea of what my view of the field will look like prior to purchase. They also have a 100% Buyer Guarantee where they will make sure your tickets are safe and secure.

If you wish to buy from the team, the process is not hard, but availability may be an issue at times. How to Get Cheap Boston Red Sox Tickets

Finding cheap Boston Red Sox tickets will obviously depend on your personal budget, and what you are willing to spend. MLB tickets, in general, are much more budget-friendly than NFL tickets. Most teams, including the Red Sox, have very affordable seats.

Of course, not everyone’s definition of “cheap” is the same. Obviously, the most affordable Boston Red Sox tickets will be in the upper sections of the stadium. But if you are looking for a tip to finding Boston Red Sox tickets at a discount, there is one thing to consider.

Sometimes ticket prices will drop as gameday gets closer. This is due to the fact that resellers don’t want to eat the ticket, and so they are more willing to sell for a lower price. But, before you get too excited, don’t expect a significant bargain.

And it is also worth pointing out that this price drop as gameday approaches does not always occur (sometimes the opposite happens). According to SeatGeek, “MLB fans pay 38 percent less when they buy the week of a game versus a month or more ahead of time”.

So, there are occasions where you may be able to get Boston Red Sox tickets for cheaper if you wait until closer to gameday. But this method is not without risk. The tickets you want may no longer be available if you wait, and there is no guarantee that tickets will for sure decrease in price.

Of course, visiting teams can also impact pricing. If you choose to watch the Red Sox play a worse opponent, the ticket prices will often be cheaper. This, too, is not always guaranteed however.
