Parking for Dallas Stars games can be a bit confusing due to the congestion of traffic near the arena on gameday. In this article, let’s explore some of the most popular Dallas Stars parking options.

These are the two basic options you have when parking at Dallas Stars games:

  • Use an American Airlines Center controlled parking lot or garage.
  • Use a nearby public parking lot that might be cheaper, but will require a longer walk.

If you wish to drive up and pay on site, yes, some of the American Airlines Center controlled parking lots do allow you to pay on site (credit and debit card only). However, reserving a spot in advance always helps reduce hassle on gameday (buy a parking pass).

The public parking lots are not controlled by American Airlines Center and are instead operated by private parking companies. Do not expect the public parking lots to be free. Usually the public parking lots cost in the $7-$12 range, but prices can vary by lot.

In this article, let’s take a closer look at how to buy a Dallas Stars parking pass, and what parking lots are located closest to the arena.

Where to Buy a Dallas Stars Parking Pass

There are over 5000 parking spaces at American Airlines Center controlled parking lots and garages very near to the arena.

If you wish to visit the box office in person for assistance, the main ticket office at the American Airlines Center is located on the northeast side of the arena at the corner of N Houston Street and All Star Way (view).

You can also use online ticket broker sites like Ticketmaster, StubHub, and Vivid Seats to purchase Dallas Stars parking passes.

Dallas Stars Public Parking Lots

There are also several large parking areas near American Airlines Center that are not controlled by the arena or the team, and are instead operated by private parking companies. Most of these lots are a bit farther away from the arena (think 10-20 minute walk).

Usually the public parking lots cost in the $7-$12 range, but prices can vary by lot. In my experience, these public parking lots do not have a parking attendant. Some lots may allow you to text and pay but many of these lots have a payment kiosk where you can enter applicable information to receive a pass. Here is what one of these parking kiosks looks like.

The main takeaway is expect these public parking areas to be a bit cheaper (but not free), and to require a little bit longer of a walk. It may come down to the decision whether or not you want to pay the extra $15 or $20 for a spot closer to the arena.

This is where you can see the location of these Dallas Stars public parking lots near American Airlines Center. Most of these public lots are located south of the arena.

Dallas Stars Rideshare Pickup Location

If you wish to use rideshare for a Dallas Stars game, there are two main pickup locations (one on the north side, and one on the south side).

  • North Side Pickup – The north Dallas Stars Rideshare pickup location is on All Star Way, which is the road that runs directly across the north side of the arena (view this area).
  • South Side Pickup – The south Dallas Stars Rideshare pickup location is on Novitzki Way (also called Olive Street) east of Houston Street (view this area).
