When Do Arrowhead Stadium Gates Open?

Arrowhead Stadium gates open 2 hours prior to kickoff. Certain club gates open 2.5 hours prior to kickoff (source).

The following sections are in regards to the stadium entry gates on the outside of the stadium. Arrowhead Stadium has 8 different stadium gates. A stadium gate is where you present your ticket to gain entrance to the stadium.

Founder’s Plaza Gate Arrowhead

Where is the Founder’s Plaza Gate at Arrowhead Stadium?

The Founder’s Plaza gate is located on the northeast side of the stadium, just off Chiefs Way. This is on the side of Arrowhead that is nearest to Kauffman Stadium. This is what the Founder’s Plaza Gate looks like as you walk up near it.

Click here to view this gate’s position on the Chiefs official stadium map. The Founder’s Plaza at Arrowhead is a popular tailgating area before the game, and can be quite busy near game time (so prepare accordingly). This gate is on the same side of the stadium as the visitor’s bench.

The Founder’s Plaza Gate is in reference to Lamar Hunt, who was a principal founder of the AFL, and the founder of the Kansas City Chiefs. A Lamar Hunt statue stands out in front of the Founder’s Plaza Gate.

There is a Chiefs Pro Shop inside the stadium near the Founder’s Plaza Gate. The Chiefs main ticket office is also located on the Founder’s Plaza, and there will be several ticket windows on the outside of the Plaza (view).

T Mobile Gate Arrowhead Stadium

The Arrowhead Stadium T Mobile Gate is a corner gate located on the east side of the stadium, near the intersection of Red Coat Lane and Chiefs Way. This is what the gate looks like as you walk up near it.

Arrowhead Stadium Gate C is an endzone gate located on the south side of the stadium, just off Red Coat Lane. This is what Gate C looks like as you approach it.
