Sportsfanfocus.com has no affiliation with Yankee Stadium, the New York Yankees, or MLB (info)

If you are planning to attend a New York Yankees game at Yankee Stadium and don’t yet have tickets, you might be wondering about your options. Where can you buy Yankees tickets?

*Ticket Advice* -The New York Yankees now use mobile tickets for all guests. No paper tickets are issued. It is always best to purchase tickets directly from the team if possible, but you can also use ticket brokers like StubHub or Vivid Seats. I like to use Vivid Seats because they show me what my view from the seats will look like prior to purchase. Click here to view New York Yankees tickets available at Vivid Seats (paid affiliate link takes you to VividSeats.com).

The Yankee Stadium Ticket Office is positioned on the west corner of the stadium near the Gate 4 entrance, which is located near the intersection of East 161st Street and Macombs Dam Bridge. Any fan having issues purchasing mobile tickets can go to the ticket windows for assistance.

You can also buy directly from the team by downloading the MLB Ballpark App to your mobile device. The MLB Ballpark app is MLB’s free, official app that makes it easy to access, manage, and use your tickets. To learn more about how the Yankees mobile ticketing works, click here.

At the time this guide was created, the Yankees box office is still open for in-person requests. Some stadiums around the country are transitioning to digital-only ticket offices, so I advise you to contact the Yankees ticket office in advance to confirm box office hours and current procedures (view contact information).

Although there may be other methods to buy New York Yankees tickets, the most popular options are:

  • Buy Directly from the Yankees
  • Buy From Vivid Seats
  • Buy From Stubhub
  • Buy From TicketMaster
  • Buy From SeatGeek

As we discussed above, many fans prefer to buy tickets at the stadium, but if you want to reduce hassle and avoid waiting in ticket lines, buying online before you go is a good idea. There are several places online where you can purchase MLB tickets, including Vivid Seats, StubHub, TicketMaster (among others).

In my opinion, Vivid Seats is very easy to use. Here is a look at some screenshots from my phone as I search for Yankees tickets at Vivid Seats:

Where Can You Buy New York Yankees Tickets?

Buy Tickets from the Team

Buying tickets through the Yankees is not hard, and they offer a variety of plans to consider. If you hope to buy tickets on gameday, just be aware that tickets may be sold out and/or lines could be long. To read more, visit our article about purchasing tickets at Yankee Stadium.

Yankees Tickets Vivid Seats

As I mentioned earlier, many fans prefer to buy Yankees tickets online to avoid the hassle of buying at the stadium. I like to use Vivid Seats to buy my MLB tickets.

The Vivid Seats platform is easy to use and they show you what your view from the seat will be prior to purchase. And you can shop around to find the seat and price point that fits your budget.

This is where you can view Yankees tickets available at Vivid Seats (paid affiliate link takes you to VividSeats.com).

Vivid Seats has a 100% Buyer Guarantee program that is designed to give you peace of mind when you are buying tickets online. Here is all that comes with Vivid Seat’s 100% Buyers Guarantee program:

  • Hassle Free Customer Service
  • Private and Secure transaction (no selling or sharing your information to brokers)
  • Tickets Delivered before the Event Guaranteed or Money Back
  • Valid and Authentic Tickets or money back
  • Accurate Order Guarantee (your tickets will be identical, comparable, or better than your order or money back)
  • Money Back Guarantee for Cancelled Events

Not only do they make sure you are satisfied and your transactions are secure, but they also have a very user-friendly platform. When you go to purchase tickets, they show you exactly where the seats are on the stadium map. They also give you a view from those seats.

It is very easy to find the game, browse through the tickets, and load the tickets into the cart for purchase. For MLB tickets, including New York Yankees tickets, Vivid Seats is my favorite option.

New York Yankees Tickets Stubhub, Ticketmaster, and SeatGeek

If you prefer to buy your Yankees tickets online, StubHub and Ticketmaster are two other popular options. Just like Vivid Seats above, these sites allows you to buy both Yankees tickets and Yankees parking passes.

These sites work hard to ensure that your tickets are valid and that you are protected. For example, StubHub has what they call “FanProtect”, which is StubHub’s promise that every order is 100% guaranteed (source). Their promise says that you “get valid tickets to any event or your money back.” StubHub commits to finding replacement tickets if there is an issue with your order.

SeatGeek is unique because it is a ticket search engine that searches through the largest tickets sites on the internet to give you an idea of what seats are available across all of those sites. This makes it much easier than you going to each site individually to compare prices.

How Much are Yankees Season Tickets?

The cost of Yankees season tickets varies dramatically depending on the location and amount of seats you are interested in. My advice is to visit the Yankees season tickets page by clicking here.

Once there, you can reach out for a representative to contact you to give you a better idea how much New York Yankees season tickets cost, and what your options are. The Yankees also offer a variety of ticket plans which allow you to buy a collection of game tickets without having to buy tickets for the entire season.

Yankees Parking Options

Yankee Stadium is located in the Bronx at One East 161st Street and can be reached via I-87, also known as the Major Deegan Expressway. There are several Yankee Stadium Parking Garages and Parking Lots around the stadium, but it is important to note that none of these garages or lots are officially controlled by the New York Yankees. All rates and policies are set by the city.

There are several Yankee Stadium parking garages and lots located near Yankee Stadium. Here are the Yankee Stadium parking lots and garages you might consider:

  • Yankee Stadium 164th Street Garage
  • Yankee Stadium 161st Street Garage
  • Yankee Stadium Ruppert Plaza Garage
  • Yankee Stadium 153rd Street Garage
  • Yankee Stadium River Avenue Garage
  • Yankee Stadium Harlem River Lot
  • Yankee Stadium 151st Street Lot
  • Yankee Stadium Major Deegan Lot
  • Yankee Stadium 153rd Street Lot

Are New York Yankees Tickets Hard to Get?

The New York Yankees are one of the most popular MLB teams and will sellout many games throughout the season. Games against premium opponents often sell out, along with many weekend games.

If you are wondering about availability, my recommendation is to contact the Yankees’ ticket office and let them advise you on current availability and how to proceed. But it’s important to understand, that even if the game is sold out, you still have an option to buy from an online ticket broker like Vivid Seats.

As I mentioned above, I like to use Vivid Seats because they show me the perspective from the actual seat so I get an idea of what my view of the field will look like prior to purchase. They also have a 100% Buyer Guarantee where they will make sure your tickets are safe and secure.

Click here to view New York Yankees tickets available at Vivid Seats (paid affiliate link takes you to VividSeats.com). If you wish to buy from the team, the process is not hard, but availability may be an issue at times. How to Get Cheap New York Yankees Tickets

Finding cheap New York Yankees tickets will obviously depend on your personal budget, and what you are willing to spend. MLB tickets, in general, are much more budget-friendly than NFL tickets. Most teams, including the Yankees, have very affordable seats.

Of course, not everyone’s definition of “cheap” is the same. Obviously, the most affordable New York Yankees tickets will be in the upper sections of the stadium. But if you are looking for a tip to finding New York Yankees tickets at a discount, there is one thing to consider.

Sometimes ticket prices will drop as gameday gets closer. This is due to the fact that resellers don’t want to eat the ticket, and so they are more willing to sell for a lower price. But, before you get too excited, don’t expect a significant bargain.

And it is also worth pointing out that this price drop as gameday approaches does not always occur (sometimes the opposite happens). According to SeatGeek, “MLB fans pay 38 percent less when they buy the week of a game versus a month or more ahead of time”.

So, there are occasions where you may be able to get New York Yankees tickets for cheaper if you wait until closer to gameday. But this method is not without risk. The tickets you want may no longer be available if you wait, and there is no guarantee that tickets will for sure decrease in price.

Of course, visiting teams can also impact pricing. If you choose to watch the Yankees play a worse opponent, the ticket prices will often be cheaper. This, too, is not always guaranteed however.
