The Yankee Stadium Gate 4 Entrance is located on the southwest side of the stadium near the intersection of East 161st Street and Macombs Dam Bridge. Yankee Stadium Gate 4 is next to Babe Ruth Plaza and directly behind home plate.

Yankee Stadium Public Transportation Options

New York City offers an extensive network of public transportation options that helps baseball fans arrive at Yankees’ home games by game time. Quickly, here’s what you need to know about some of your best options.

Subway to Yankee Stadium

The New York subway system offers easy access to Yankee Stadium. The East Side No. 4 train and the Sixth Avenue D train both stop at the Yankee Stadium/161st Street subway station at the intersection of East 161st and River Avenue.  This is the closest and most convenient station to the stadium.

Additional weekday service only is provided by the Sixth Avenue B train. 

Bus to Yankee Stadium

There are several bus stops along 161st Street and nearby cross streets.

  • 161st and River Avenue:  Bx6 and Bx13
  • 161st and Grand Concourse: Bx1 and Bx2
