What to Bring to a Dallas Cowboys Game?

If you are going to a Dallas Cowboys game, planning ahead is always important. Below is a list of things you might need to bring, and you will want to make sure you are complying with any security protocols the stadium has:

  • Clear Stadium BagNFL stadiums have strict bag policies and recommend a clear stadium bag like this one available at Amazon (paid affiliate link takes you to Amazon.com). Make sure to verify the size dimensions meets the size standards for AT&T Stadium.
  • Reserve Parking – Many stadiums recommend fans to pre-purchase parking passes if needed to help avoid the hassle and wait times associated with buying passes at the stadium. • Weather and Sun ProtectionAT&T Stadium has a roof, so facing the elements at a Cowboys game is not as big of an issue as it might be at other NFL stadiums. Still, depending on where you park, you could be facing a 15-20 minute walk to the stadium, so dress appropriate.
  • Cashless Payment – Many stadiums are transitioning to cashless payments, so bringing a form of payment other than cash is a good idea.
  • Noise-Canceling Headphones – Stadiums can get very loud, and noise-canceling headphones may be needed for toddlers.

Can You Bring a Bag Into AT&T Stadium?

As an emphasis on security has increased in recent years, NFL stadiums have adjusted their bag policies. There are strict regulations regarding the types of bags allowed inside a stadium. The NFL recommends fans to use clear stadium bags like this one available at Amazon (paid affiliate link takes you to Amazon.com).

Clear stadium bags help with security at the gate, and not only make the stadium safer, but also help security lines move faster. But each stadium has its own safety guidelines, and may include certain exceptions. To read more, I would advise you to visit the AT&T Stadium information guide.

Can You Bring a Sign Into AT&T Stadium?

Creating a fun sign can be a fun way to add to the experience of a Cowboys game. But can you bring a sign into AT&T Stadium? The answer is yes, but with some restrictions. Here are some of those restrictions:

  • AT&T Stadium Signs must be handheld
  • AT&T Stadium Signs must be event-related
  • AT&T Stadium Signs must be in good taste

Signs on poles or sticks, or constructed of wood or metal material, are also not permitted. Management reserves the right to confiscate signs that are in violation of stadium policy (source). It is always a good idea to check with the stadium or team ahead of time of any signs you may want to bring.

Dallas Cowboys Ticket Information

Buying Cowboys Tickets

As of this year, the Cowboys ticket office no longer sells hard tickets at the stadium. The ticket office at the stadium is open only to assist in ticket resolution issues. Buying in advance is almost always necessary.

You can buy your tickets directly from the team’s website, but once the game is sold-out, you will need to use the secondary ticket market, where you can buy Cowboys tickets that are being re-sold. For these types of tickets, I like to use Vivid Seats because they show me what my view from the seats will look like prior to purchase.

Best Place to Park at AT&T Stadium for Cowboys Games

While there are numerous parking lots and spaces available at AT&T Stadium they do fill up fast. Also, stadium parking lots open about 5 hours before the game starts, so if you get there early you can likely find parking near your gate. In general though, it is always best to buy in advance if possible to remove the hassle of buying at the stadium.

There are 3 groups of lots, Blue, Silver and Lettered. The Silver and Blue lots will be closer to AT&T Stadium while the Lettered Lots will be further away. The Lettered Lots are also shared with the Texas Rangers.

This is where you can view the current price of parking passes available for Cowboys games at Vivid Seats (paid affiliate link takes you to VividSeats.com).
  • Tailgating – As mentioned, if you are wanting to tailgate be sure to park in a lot that allows it. Not only do some lots not allow tailgating, some that do only allow it in certain parking spaces. The available spaces are usually handed out on a first come first served basis.
