Dallas Cowboys Jersey Buyer’s Guide: What You Need to Know

Looking to buy a Dallas Cowboys jersey? If so, you might be a bit confused or overwhelmed by your options. There are 5 types of Cowboys jerseys to choose from. Quickly, here’s what you need to know:

  • Dallas Cowboys Nike Elite Jersey – The Elite jerseys are the authentic NFL jerseys, and they are stitched. This is the closest you can get as a fan to wearing what the Cowboys players wear on the field. The fit will be slimmer than other jerseys, mimicking the athletic fit of the players’ jerseys. The Elite jerseys have all the premium finishes, including stitched graphics and authentic paneling. Click here to view the Dallas Cowboys Nike Elite jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link take you to NFLShop.com).
  • Dallas Cowboys Nike Limited Jersey – The Nike Limited jerseys are a step down from the Elite jerseys, but do have stitched graphics. These jerseys are actually my favorite. Think of the Nike Limited jerseys as a hybrid jersey between the replica jerseys and the authentic jerseys. The Limited jerseys are a middle ground, that gives you some premium features (like stitched graphics), at a price point lower than the Nike Elite jerseys. Click here to view the Dallas Cowboys Nike Limited jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link take you to NFLShop.com).
  • Dallas Cowboys Nike Game Jerseys – The Nike Game jerseys are popular fan jerseys due to price point. They have the true look of a jersey, but are replicas, which means they are a bit more affordable than premium Cowboys jerseys. Relaxed fit, but true to size. These jerseys are a good option if you are looking for a Nike Cowboys jersey on a tight budget. This jersey does not have stitched graphics. Click here to view the Nike Game jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link take you to NFLShop.com).
  • Dallas Cowboys Nike Legend Jersey – The Nike Legend is unique compared to other NFL jerseys. It fits almost like a standard t-shirt, and is more affordable than other jerseys. I was a bit shocked how much I liked the fit. In my opinion it pairs with normal clothes a bit better than other jerseys do. Expect a true to size fit. Lightweight, and easy to wear. This jersey does not have stitched graphics. Click here to view the Dallas Cowboys Nike Legend jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link take you to NFLShop.com).
  • Dallas Cowboys Pro Line Jersey – The NFL Pro Line Jersey is not made by Nike. It is a more affordable replica jersey, which might be a nice option if you are on a tight budget. This jersey has a baggy, loose fit, and you may need to size it down. This is the baggiest Cowboys jersey you can buy. This jersey does not have stitched graphics. Click here to view Dallas Cowboys Pro Line jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link take you to NFLShop.com).
  • Dallas Cowboys Women’s Jerseys – You can buy Dallas Cowboys Women’s Jerseys in the following styles: Nike Limited, Nike Legend, Nike Game, NFL Pro Line. The only jersey type that is not offered in a women’s version are the authentic Elite jerseys because they are made to be authentic versions of what the Cowboys players wear. The Nike Limited Women’s Cowboys jerseys have stitched graphics, the rest do not. Click here to view Dallas Cowboys Women’s Jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com).

In this article we will discuss each type of Dallas Cowboys jersey so you have a better idea what to expect.

As I said above, I personally prefer the Nike Limited Vapor jerseys because I like getting the stitched graphics at a price point lower than the Nike Elite jerseys. Click here to view the Dallas Cowboys Nike Limited jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link take you to NFLShop.com).

Dallas Cowboys Jerseys

As we discussed above, there are five different types of Dallas Cowboys jerseys:

  • Nike Legend
  • Nike Game
  • Nike Limited
  • Nike Elite
  • NFL Pro Line

Not only will the design and price differ across these 5 jersey types, so will the players available. Some types may have more options than others.

It’s also important to note that the Nike Limited and Nike Elite have both a regular and Vapor Untouchable version, which we will discuss more below. Let’s start by discussing Dallas Cowboys Nike Legend Jerseys.

Dallas Cowboys Nike Legend Jerseys

The Nike Legend is a unique take on NFL fan jerseys. It is more like a jersey/shirt hybrid – sorta like a shirsey. It is made of polyester though, so to the touch it feels like a jersey, but when you wear the Nike Legend, it fits like a shirt.

The Nike Legend jerseys are entry-level jerseys, and a cool, affordable way to rep your favorite Cowboys player. Just don’t expect premium finishes like stitched graphics. The graphics on the Legend are screen-printed.

Again, it fits very much like a t-shirt. I ordered my normal sizing and it fit comfortably. If you want to see how mine fits, visit our Nike Legend Jersey Review. Here is a look at a Jason Witten Nike Legend Dallas Cowboys jersey:

I was actually shocked how much I liked the fit of the Nike Legend jersey. It is an affordable replica jersey, that might pair easier with normal clothes than other types of fan jerseys.

Dallas Cowboys Nike Game Jerseys

The Nike Game jerseys are very popular due to their price point. These are designed more like a true jersey than the Nike Legends we just discussed. These jerseys have mesh side paneling, and a name plate on the back.

The Nike Game is a replica jersey. It does not have stitched graphics. Because of this, the price point of this jersey is lower than the price point of the more premium Nike Limited and Nike Elite jerseys.

I like to describe the Nike Game Jersey sizing as relaxed, but true to size. Yes, that’s another way of saying it runs a touch bigger than normal clothing. I personally did not size it down. Here is an Ezekiel Elliot Nike Game jersey:

Again, my recommendation is to order your normal sizing, and expect it to have a relaxed fit. If you absolutely want a slimmer fit, it might be best to size down or choose a different jersey style. To see how mine fits me, visit our Nike Game Jersey Sizing Guide.

Click here to view the Dallas Cowboys Nike Game jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com). This is a nice entry-level jersey if you are looking for a way to rep your favorite Cowboy player, but don’t want to spend up for a premium jersey.

Dallas Cowboys Nike Limited Jerseys

The Nike Limited Vapor jerseys are my favorite type of NFL fan jersey. The Limited jerseys have a few premium design features (like stitched graphics), but they come in at a more affordable price point than the Nike Elite jerseys (which are the authentic jerseys).

Think of the Nike Limited jerseys as a hybrid jersey between the replica jerseys and the authentic jerseys. The Limited jerseys are a middle ground, that gives you some premium features (like stitched graphics), at a price point lower than the Nike Elite jerseys.

If you are looking for the Dallas Cowboys jersey with the best value, in my opinion, this is it. I personally ordered my normal sizing in this jersey, and it fit fine. To see how mine fits, visit our Nike Limited jersey sizing guide.

Here is a look at a Dak Nike Limited Vapor jersey:

Again, this is my favorite jersey. What’s cool about the Vapor version is the seams converge in the middle of the back, which allows the jersey to lay flat in the front.

If you are looking for a Cowboys jersey that has stitched graphics, but don’t want to pay all the way up for the Nike Elite jersey, this is a perfect compromise.

Click here to view the Dallas Cowboys Nike Limited jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com). Again, expect a true-to-size fit.

Dallas Cowboys Nike Elite Jerseys

The Nike Elite jerseys are the most premium type of Dallas Cowboys jersey. These are the authentic jerseys. This is the closest you can get as a fan to wearing what the Cowboys players wear on the field.

The Nike Elite jerseys will have all the premium finishes, including authentic paneling and stitched graphics.

There is both a Nike Elite jersey, and a Nike Elite Vapor Untouchable jersey. Both of these jerseys are considered authentic jerseys, and both have an athletic fit. The Nike Elite Vapor Untouchable jerseys have a slimmer fit, and also have fitted sleeves. To read more about the differences, visit our article Elite vs Vapor.

The Nike Elite jerseys (both types) use numerical sizing. To read specifically about fit, visit our article on Nike Elite Jersey Sizing where you can see how the Elite jerseys I own fit on me.

I ordered normal sizing, but it will have a more athletic fit than other jersey types. Here is a look at a Dak Prescott Nike Elite Vapor Untouchable jersey:

If you prefer a loose fit, you may want to size up the Elite jerseys. The type of Elite jersey offered may vary from team to team.

Click here to view the Dallas Cowboys Nike Elite jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com). Again, this is the most premium type of Dallas Cowboys jersey you can buy.

Dallas Cowboys Pro Line Jerseys

The NFL Pro Line jersey is the one type of NFL jersey not made by Nike, so don’t expect a Nike logo on this jersey. The strength of this jersey is that it is a budget-friendly Dallas Cowboys jersey, and gives you an affordable way to rep your favorite player.

This is the current price of the NFL Pro Line jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com). Price may change over time, so click through that link to get the current pricing information. Here is a Dak Pro Line jersey:

This jersey fits very baggy, so much so that I personally recommend sizing down unless you like a loose-fitting jersey. If you want to see how my Pro Line jersey fits me, visit our Pro Line Jersey Review.

Because this jersey is a budget-friendly option, it does not have the premium finishes of some of the Nike jerseys, like sewn-on names and numbers, stretch-panel construction, and flywire collars. The strength of this jersey is in its price.

Click here to view the Dallas Cowboys Pro Line jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com). Again, this jersey fits baggy, and I recommend sizing down unless you prefer a loose fit. To read more, visit our NFL Jersey Sizing Guide.

Dallas Cowboys Women’s Jerseys

As I said at the top, you can buy a Dallas Cowboys Women’s Jersey in the following styles: Nike Limited, Nike Legend, Nike Game, NFL Pro Line.

The only jersey type that is not offered in a women’s version are the authentic Elite jerseys because they are made to be authentic versions of what the Cowboys players wear.

Here is a look at a Dak Prescott Nike Limited Women’s Cowboy jersey:

The Nike Limited Women’s Cowboys jerseys will be the most premium type of women’s jersey you can buy. They have stitched graphics (the others do not).

Dallas Cowboys Youth Jerseys

If you are shopping for a Dallas Cowboys Youth jersey, you do have a few options to choose from. Often you can find Dallas Cowboys Youth jerseys offered in Nike Game, Nike Limited, and Pro Line versions (although this can change throughout the year).

Here is a look at a youth Dak Prescott Nike Limited jersey:

The Nike Limited youth jerseys will have premium stitched graphics. There are, at times, youth women’s jerseys available also.

Where to Buy Dallas Cowboys Jerseys?

The most important thing is to buy your jersey from a trusted source. These are a few of the places you can trust:

  • NFLShop.com – NFLShop.com is the official online shop for the NFL. You can buy from them with confidence. Click here to view Dallas Cowboys jerseys at NFLShop.com (affiliate link takes you to NFLShop.com).
  • Team Pro Shop – You can also buy directly from the team pro shop at the stadium, or through their website. Click here to view Dallas Cowboys jerseys at their team pro shop.
  • Fanatics.com – Fanatics runs the eCommerce platform for the NFL. Click here to view Dallas Cowboys jerseys at Fanatics.com (affiliate link takes you to Fanatics.com).

There are other trustworthy places to buy jerseys, but you should be able to find what you are looking for at one of those three online stores. Of course, you may also be able to shop locally.

Some retail stores (like Dicks Sporting Goods) will have jerseys available for sale – but usually they don’t have all 5 jersey types to choose from like the online sites linked above will. So selection may be limited.

Overall, just avoid buying from a source you can’t trust. If you choose NFLShop.com, Fanatics, the Team Pro Shop, or a trustworthy retail store, you should be fine.
