If you are planning to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium and don’t yet have tickets, you might be wondering about your options. Can you buy Chiefs tickets at the stadium gate?

Update: As of this year, the Kansas City Chiefs use digital tickets only. The ticket office windows at the stadium do not issue paper tickets, but can provide assistance in purchasing digital tickets. You can purchase tickets directly from the team’s website as long as supplies last. You can also use ticket brokers like Ticketmaster, StubHub, or Vivid Seats. I like to use Vivid Seats because they show me what my view from the seats will look like prior to purchase. Click here to view Kansas City Chiefs tickets available at VividSeats.com (affiliate link takes you to vividseats.com).

Any fan needing assistance purchasing tickets can contact the team’s ticket office during regular business hours.

If you choose to buy directly from the team, you can do so by downloading the Chiefs Mobile App to your mobile device. The Chiefs Mobile App keeps you connected to the team with news, updated rosters, stats and injury reports. It also gives you access to ticket purchasing. The main Arrowhead Ticket Office is located on the northeast side of Arrowhead Stadium adjacent to the Founder’s Plaza and Hy-Vee Gate. Many ticket offices have adjusted hours due to the pandemic, and my advice is to contact the Chiefs ticket office to confirm current hours of operation (view contact information).

Buying NFL tickets online can help simplify the process and remove some of the annoyances and risks that come from trying to buy tickets at the stadium. In this article, we discuss how to buy Chiefs tickets at Arrowhead Stadium, and what your other options might be.

It is important to understand, if you are hoping to walkup and buy tickets at Arrowhead Stadium for a game that same day, you likely won’t have any luck. Very rarely are there tickets available at the stadium on game day.

The Kansas City Chiefs home games sellout frequently. Therefore, if you wait to buy tickets at the game, you will likely miss out. Buying your tickets in advance, if possible, is always best.

If you are hoping to buy tickets for games in the future, you do have the option to search on Vivid Seats or some other online ticket broker. If you want to try to buy through the Chiefs Ticket Office, my advice is to reach out to them via phone or internet.

Best Online Site for Chiefs Tickets

Buying from the team, if possible, is always the best option. But some fans like to use online ticket brokers like StubHub and Vivid Seats, which give you access to re-sold fan-to-fan tickets.

I like to use Vivid Seats because they show me what my view from the seats will look like prior to purchase. Click here to view Kansas City Chiefs tickets available at VividSeats.com (affiliate link takes you to vividseats.com).

Buying tickets online can be a bit scary when it comes to giving out your information, which is why Vivid Seats has their 100% Buyer Guarantee program. The program is designed to give you security and peace of mind when you are buying tickets online. Here is all that comes with the 100% Buyers Guarantee program:

  • Hassle Free Customer Service
  • Private and Secure transaction (no selling or sharing your information to brokers)
  • Tickets Delivered before the Event Guaranteed or Money Back
  • Valid and Authentic Tickets or money back
  • Accurate Order Guarantee (your tickets will be identical, comparable, or better than your order or money back)
  • Money Back Guarantee for Cancelled Events

Not only do they make sure you are satisfied and your transactions are secure, but they also have a very user-friendly platform. When you go to purchase tickets, they show you exactly where the seats are on the stadium map. They also give you an actual picture view from those seats.

Vivid Seats Loyalty Program

As mentioned, Vivid Seats has a great loyalty program. Depending on how much you spend, you can earn up to 9% cash back on any purchase you make with them. Not only do you get an incredible 9% cash back if you reach “HOF” status, you will also get access to special VIP events and other additional perks. You can see more details here.

Of course, you can always contact the Chiefs and see if they have tickets available, but often times buying through an online ticket broker gives you a wider range of tickets and prices to choose from anyway. If there are no more tickets available through the Chiefs official website, the buying through a ticket broker like Vivid Seats is needed.

The difference between buying from Vivid Seats versus buying directly from the team is Vivid Seats is a secondary ticket marketplace, meaning fan-to-fan. As mentioned, usually online ticket brokers like Vivid Seats will have a lot more tickets available and options to choose from.

There are, of course, other fan-to-fan ticket sites out there besides Vivid Seats that will also work just fine (like Stubhub). But I like to use Vivid Seats to take advantage of their 100% Buyer Guarantee and loyalty program.

The NFL has partnered with Ticketmaster as the preferred primary ticketing partner.  Ticketmaster also has an online platform called Ticket Exchange, which is also a very popular fan-to-fan platform that competes with Vivid Seats.
