Can You Buy Minnesota Vikings Tickets at the Stadium?

If you are planning to attend a Minnesota Vikings game at U.S. Bank Stadium and don’t yet have tickets, you might be wondering about your options. Can you buy Vikings tickets at the stadium gate?

Update: As of this year, the Minnesota Vikings use digital tickets only. The ticket office windows at the stadium do not issue paper tickets, but can provide assistance in purchasing digital tickets. You can purchase tickets directly from the team’s website as long as supplies last. You can also use ticket brokers like Ticketmaster, StubHub, or Vivid Seats. I like to use Vivid Seats because they show me what my view from the seats will look like prior to purchase. Click here to view Vikings tickets available at VividSeats.com (affiliate link takes you to vividseats.com).

Any fan needing assistance purchasing tickets can contact the team’s ticket office via phone, or visit the ticket office during regular business hours. The Vikings Ticket Office is located on the northwest side of the stadium near the US Bank Stadium Polaris Gate.

UPDATE – Please note that as of this year, due to health and safety concerns, many NFL ticket offices are working remotely, or with reduced hours. Contacting the US Bank Stadium ticket office via phone or email in advance to confirm office hours is recommended. NFL stadiums have adopted mobile ticketing in an attempt to reduce the risk of ticket fraud.

Buying NFL tickets online can help simplify the process and remove some of the annoyances and risks that come from trying to buy tickets at the stadium. In this article, we discuss how to buy Vikings tickets at US Bank Stadium, and what your other options might be.

Buying Vikings Tickets at the Stadium

Can You Buy Vikings Tickets at US Bank Stadium?

As of this year, the Minnesota Vikings use digital tickets only. The ticket office windows at the stadium do not issue paper tickets, but can provide assistance in purchasing digital tickets. You can purchase tickets directly from the team’s website as long as supplies last.

The Vikings Ticket Office is located on the Northwest corner of the stadium between the Legacy and Polaris gates (view).

It is important to understand, if you are hoping to walkup and buy tickets at US Bank Stadium for a game that same day, you may not have any luck. Sometimes there are not tickets available to buy through the Vikings.

Minnesota Vikings home games can sellout.  Therefore, if you wait to buy tickets at the game, you might miss out. Buying your tickets in advance, if possible, is always best.

If you are hoping to buy tickets for games in the future, you do have the option to search on Vivid Seats or some other online ticket broker. If you want to try to buy through the Vikings Ticket Office, my advice is to reach out to them via phone or internet.

The US Bank Stadium ticket office is open on Thursdays from 10am to 3pm Central Standard time. The ticket office at the stadium opens 2 hours prior to kickoff. Click here to find out more information on the US Bank ticket office and other ticket questions.

Best Online Site for Vikings Tickets

Buying from the team, if possible, is always the best option. But some fans like to use online ticket brokers like StubHub and Vivid Seats, which give you access to re-sold fan-to-fan tickets.

There are many places to buy Vikings tickets from online, but I prefer Vivid Seats because of the 100% Buyer Guarantee, their digital platform, and their loyalty program. They also have a great app for phones to use that gives you access to digital tickets.

Buying tickets online can be a bit scary when it comes to giving out your information, which is why Vivid Seats has their 100% Buyer Guarantee program. The program is designed to give you security and peace of mind when you are buying tickets online. Here is all that comes with the 100% Buyers Guarantee program:

  • Hassle Free Customer Service
  • Private and Secure transaction (no selling or sharing your information to brokers)
  • Tickets Delivered before the Event Guaranteed or Money Back
  • Valid and Authentic Tickets or money back
  • Accurate Order Guarantee (your tickets will be identical, comparable, or better than your order or money back)
  • Money Back Guarantee for Cancelled Events

Not only do they make sure your are satisfied and your transactions are secure, but they also have a very user-friendly platform. When you go to purchase tickets, they show you exactly where the seats are on the stadium map. They also give you an actual picture view from those seats.

Vivid Seats Loyalty Program

As mentioned, Vivid Seats has a great loyalty program. Depending on how much you spend, you can earn up to 9% cash back on any purchase you make with them. Not only do you get an incredible 9% cash back if you reach “HOF” status, you will also get access to special VIP events and other additional perks. You can see more details here.

Of course, you can always contact the Vikings and see if they have tickets available, but often times buying through Vivid Seats gives you a wider range of tickets and prices to choose from. If you choose not to buy your tickets at US Bank Stadium, or through the Vikings official website, the best place to buy Vikings tickets online is Vivid Seats.

The difference between buying from Vivid Seats versus buying directly from the team is Vivid Seats is a secondary ticket marketplace, meaning fan-to-fan. As mentioned, usually online ticket brokers like Vivid Seats will have a lot more tickets available and options to choose from.

There are, of course, other fan-to-fan ticket sites out there besides Vivid Seats that will also work just fine (like Stubhub). But I like to use Vivid Seats to take advantage of their 100% Buyer Guarantee and loyalty program.

The NFL has partnered with Ticketmaster as the preferred primary ticketing partner.  Ticketmaster also has an online platform called Ticket Exchange, which is also a very popular fan-to-fan platform that competes with Vivid Seats.

General U.S. Bank Stadium Information

U.S Bank Stadium opened in 2016 and is the home to Minnesota Vikings. It is an enclosed stadium, so you won’t have to worry about the elements while at a Vikings game (of course you may need to worry about the elements getting to the game).  It seats roughly 65,000 fans for Vikings game days.

While U.S. Bank Stadium only seats roughly 65,000 for Vikings games, it does have the ability to expand to as many as 73,000 seats for a large event like the Super Bowl. If you are going to a Vikings game it is always a good idea to know your parking options, so I advise you to check out our Minnesota Vikings US Bank Stadium Parking Tips Guide.

U.S. Bank Stadium consists of seven levels including two general admission concourses with 360-degree circulation and various views into the bowl.  It also has the largest pivoting glass doors that open to the west plaza (source).
